New York Fashion Week SS’24

Designer Wanda Beauchamp

This year, New York Fashion Week kicks off on Friday, September 8th, and will end on September 13th. All the designers are preparing to present their latest Spring/Summer 2024 collections. It is going to be an exciting week for all fashion lovers, fashionistas, and trendsetters!

The schedule for the Fashion Week looks pretty thrilling! On Friday, September 8th, Ralph Lauren will appear on the podium after a 4-year break. His last New York Fashion Week show was held in 2019.

Some of the designers will be returning to the podium to show their latest pieces once again. One of such “regulars” is Coach, which will be holding a show at the New York City Public Library. And, of course, how could NYFW go without Michael Kors’ presentation?! His name appears on the roster for September 11th, and I am particularly excited about this brand’s new collection.

This year’s New York Fashion Week will also introduce some new designers. One of the debutantes, whose show is scheduled for September 12, is Teddy Von Ranson, a menswear designer who worked for Ralph Lauren for 15 years and is now operating under his own brand. He has previously participated in New York Men’s Day and is now presenting his new collection for the NYFW.

Another newcomer I am thrilled to see at New York Fashion Week is Sami Miro and her brand Sami Miro Vintage. The show is scheduled for September 9th. The brand is eco-based, and the designer's motto is “to do better for our planet.” You can find pieces made out of organic fabric blends, upcycled vintage pieces, and clothing made out of recycled materials. It is exciting to see more and more designers conscious of environmental issues participating in such significant fashion events.

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024 promises to be exciting, with new and old designers presenting their latest collections. I am hoping to see new approaches to fashion and, of course, unusual designs and colors.
