NYFW 2024 - The Timelessness Show
On Friday, February 9, I attended one of the New York Fashion Week shows organized by Dundu.n. Timelessness was a presentation, where multiple brands showed their new collections of clothes, jewelry, bags, and even home decor.
Clothing brand OYELEKE presented a very futuristic collection. Basic colors perfectly worked for each of the pieces that looked almost high-tech. Two models, a man and a woman, showed the clothes off, changing them throughout the event, so all the attendees had a chance to see what they would look like in real life.
Unlike OYELEKE, Sourplum, another clothing company, showed a collection that was bright and eye-catching. Bright fuzzy sweaters presented in pink, white, and blue colors, cardigans, somewhat resembling Chanel - all that attracted attention the second I got into the room. That probably was the brightest brand of all.
The jewelry was no less interesting than the clothing. Dopl World showed a very feminine jewelry collection: pears, light and flowy designs - all of that made me feel like it came straight out of a picture. If you are a fan of romantic designs, this brand is absolutely for you!
And for those who prefer heavier and more minimalistic designs, Mona Jewelry showed a collection of big and chunky silver rings, and necklaces with what looked like human figures that would look great with both casual and grunge outfits.
But my personal favorite was the home decor brand Arrose. It presented its first collection, the highlight of which was a mug that took the longest to design and produce. Everything was made out of porcelain which was very surprising because it looked nothing like the usual porcelain dishes we are all used to seeing. In its design, it combined Eastern and Western motives. The flowy design and silver color it was made out of were similar to water, clean, and always changing. It was great to see the philosophy behind what looks like a regular household item.
The event was open to the public during the weekend and attracted a lot of attention. It was great to see brands being so close to people and showing them their newest inventions.
