National Donut Day

It is the first day of summer, so why not treat yourself to something sweet, round, and glazed to celebrate? Especially since it’s the best day for it! June 1st is national donut day, and here are a couple of places to visit to get the best donut-eating experience!

Fan-Fan Doughnuts

Truly one of the best places for donuts! Mexican cinnamon sugar donuts, glazed braids, and hazelnut-praline-chocolate donuts are just the beginning of the list. Be prepared for long lines, but this is definitely worth the wait!

Location: 448 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205

Doughnut Plant

This bakery’s signature donuts are square-shaped donuts with jam or cream fillings. This is definitely a work of art! Here you can try both traditional and unique donut flavors.

Location: 379 Grand Street, New York, NY 10002

Win Son Bakery

If you are tired of classical donuts, check out this bakery! It serves fried-chicken sandos on milk bread and must-try mochi donuts, and for the drinks, you can try Taiwanese beer and wine instead of coffee.

Location: 164 Graham Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11206

Doughnut Project

Another place for those seeking something new is this creative bakery. Beet-glazed with ricotta whipped cream, glazed with cream cheese icing, and everything bagel seasoning - these are just a couple of the donut flavors the bakery has. That is one of the best places for a new donut experience!

Location: 10 Morton St, New York 10014

Dun-Well Doughnuts
If you are a donut lover and a vegan, this place is just for you! Dun-Well Doughnuts have a wide variety of animal-product-free pastries. As an extra plus, the donuts are beautifully decorated, so they are a treat for your belly and your eyes!

Location: 222 Montrose Ave, NY 11206

Dominique Ansel Bakery

Before opening his bakery, Dominique Ansel worked as an executive pastry chef at Daniel, so he definitely knows everything about high-quality pastries and win-win combinations. Here, you can also try the chef’s signature: a Cronut, a croissant and a donut hybrid.

Location: 189 Spring Street, New York, NY 10012
