Ninth Avenue International Food Festival

If you are looking for a new gastronomic experience or just an interesting way to spend your day off, this spring event is for you! This weekend, May 20 and 21, New York City is hosting the Ninth Ave International Food Festival. Cuisines from all over the world will be presented. You can find traditional dishes you are already familiar with as well as delicacies you won’t get anywhere else. The countries presenting their recipes range from European to African and Latin American, so everyone will find something they like. 

The festival will have small food stalls from local restaurants that will try to impress you with their cuisine. The organizers of the event carefully select the featured food-makers among the best New York restaurant, so you can be sure you will get the best possible experience. 

Along with food, the International Food Festival will offer live entertainment: ethnic music performances and dancing, arts and crafts, as well as activities for children, so everyone will find something they will enjoy doing! 

The organizer of the festival is Ninth Avenue Association, a non-profit organization that promotes individual merchants and brings all the guests a stronger sense of community. 

So, if you are passionate about supporting small businesses or if you are looking for a great way to spend your weekend, this is definitely the way to go! What can be better than the warmth of a good meal in great company… Listening to music, trying foods from every corner of the world, meeting new people, and learning more about the diversity of New York City! 

The festival is held along 9th Ave, from 42nd to 57th Streets, from 10 am to 6 pm.
